MARINE INDUSTRY

DSA International's consultants have extensive shipboard experience in providing machinery condition surveys during re-fits or new construction, sea-trial acceptance tests, and comprehensive mechanical troubleshooting using the latest in vibration analysis instrumentation.

These services include:

  • Rotating Machinery Diagnostics
  • Mechanical Condition Surveys
  • Vibration Acceptance Tests
  • Torsional and Lateral Vibration Analysis
  • Torque/HP Measurements of Propulsion Drives
  • Noise Surveys and Evaluation
  • Structural Dynamic Testing

The benefits of vibration analysis are numerous. Troubleshooting of rotating equipment problems can be expedited. Untimely failures of machinery can be avoided as well as to effectively plan maintenance based on condition thereby eliminating or reducing costly overhauls or unnecessary replacement of spare parts.

As members of the Association of Consulting Engineers of Canada along with individual memberships in the ASME, C.I.Mar.E, and the Vibration Institute, DSA International can provide a high level of technical service to operators or contractors in the marine industry. A partial list of DSA International's assignments over the past few years is outlined below:
